Arbor Labor Union Release Their Tension-Filled Sub Pop Debut

Sub Pop Records has released I Hear You by Georgia’s Arbor Labor Union. It’s the band’s second album overall, and first under their current name. In 2013 Arrowhead Records issued the quartet’s debut album, Sings for You Now, under their original name, Pinecones.

I Hear You is a powerful, passionate rock album with tension-loaded grooves that build upon themselves in repetitive intensity, as guitarist/vocalist Bo Orr testifies with a compelling, at-times off-the-rails shout. It’s been earning raves from the likes of NME (who calls it “a swirling, motoric and willfully heavy beast”), Spin (“absolutely transfixing”) and Noisey (“a chugging, ballsy rock squall”), among a growing list of other media outlets.

The group is currently on a nationwide tour that will wrap up with a headlining show at the 40 Watt Club in Athens on June 17th.
