Aldean Wins Entertainer of the Year as GA Shines at ACM Awards

While Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town dominated the night in total wins, Georgia’s Jason Aldean took home the evening’s biggest prize – Entertainer of the Year – at the 2016 ACM Awards on Sunday, April 3rd.

It was the first time the Macon native has taken home the trophy for Entertainer of the Year. Later that night, Aldean tweeted that he’s “been wanting this one my whole career… I’m speechless,” while also thanking his fans.

Other Georgia-related winners this year included Florida Georgia Line for Vocal Duo of the Year (their second year in a row winning that category), Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” for Single of the Year and the completely-on-fire Dave Cobb for Producer of the Year.
