Albany State Marching Band to Perform in 2016 Rose Parade

Out of a hundred marching band applications for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day 2016, the Albany State University Marching Band has been chosen as one of only thirteen troupes from around the nation to march in the famous parade. The Ram Band is the only marching band from Georgia to make the cut this year.

Band director Michael Decuir will take approximately 115 students to California for the event. To pay for the trip, which is expected to cost around $3,000 per student, the university has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise money. Donations can be made here: https://giveto.asurams.edu.
